I measured his foot size and still went with the largest foot pad for my 75# slender dog. He had never worn booties but took well to us introducing them. We started with 1 paw, then 2, next front versus back paws. He seems comfortable. My biggest surprise is how much dirt these boots keep off his paws. He has allergies to grass +.
